- Cut ¼" thick plywood into smaller panels that will fit on the cabinet fronts.
- Make sure they are large enough to cover any existing grooves.
- Apply adhesive to the panel and center it on the door.
- Miter cut the moulding to fit around the panels, similar to a picture frame.
- Glue the four moulding pieces in place.
- Apply a thin layer of caulk where needed.
- Typically, you might need caulk in the joints between the plywood and moulding, and the moulding and door front.
- Allow the caulk to dry.

Easy Cabinet Upgrade
If you have old style cabinets that are flat or you just dont like the detail on them, I found a great easy way to give them a new look. Check out the pictures and instructions below. I will be doing this to our cabinets soon to give them a new look. I will be sanding all the old paint, applying this new detail then repainting our cabinets for a fresh new look with a very low budget.
